Of course you will find excellent camping, hiking, rafting and skiing provided by the mountain terrain. In addition to the great outdoors there are so many venues throughout the state for entertainment and relaxation. Along the Front Range you will find little companies that make products unique to Colorado. One example is Stranahans. This is a small distillery that makes some of the best whiskey you will ever taste. They provide tours and tastings in a friendly environment and can explain why their product is so unique and superior to what you may have had in the past. You can of course do some tasting of the barley products offered by the famous Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado. If you want to drive north a little ways, you can compare the tastes of the Anheuser Busch beers that are produced near Fort Collins.

In Denver, you can get a tour of the Denver Mint. It is one of the two places in the country that make money, literally. If you would like to spread your wings and enter the great outdoors, you can drive west a little and run up and down the stairs at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. This venue is like no other because the red rock fins that jut out of the ground create a natural amphitheater. A concert here is going to be different than anything you have ever seen.

On the Western slope you can attend the Peach Festival in Palisade, Colorado every fall. Stay at the Wine Country Inn for this festival, or just to go around and taste the unique Colorado wines that are crafted in this lovely area. On the way to Grand Junction, you can drive though stunning Glenwood Canyon and stop at the Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs.

These entertaining venues are just a few of the myriad places to go to in Colorado, and we haven’t even talked about the Denver Broncos!
